I was 10. A friend and I even created our own version MaxiMonsters & spent a night trying to create a webpage for it... using Word.

About the East Germans fleeing to the West in home made hot air balloons.
I remember hearing about this on the news as a kid.
Even though I barely understood what was happening, the story gripped me, everybody.
