It seems like Pyra / Mythra take up 2 slots as fighters. The only other multi-slot fighters in the game right now are Pokémon Trainer and the Mii Fighters.

Interestingly, Rosalina & Luma just counts as one character.

I am so happy with pyra / mythra but I will forever hold that my ultimate dream character that I would die if they got in smash would be Jin and Lora duo from Xenoblade 2: Torna, The Golden Country

I love these two so much and if they could swap like in the game I would scream!!
