To me, the tackiness of it is kind of the appeal. But I do wish it was more menacing. I personally like the idea of making them more ghastly and gaunt in manner. I don't like the flayed ornaments the way they are. The skin should be aged and blackened IMO. My idea: https://t.co/z1bvcJfUrA

Thank! Very forward looking. To see the trends, notice that She Hulk was created in 1980, but in 2008 we got Red Hulk that not even the marketing department of Marvel put a hyphen on. I think you can see the trend away from this ornamental hyphenation.
