Now in color. I'm a bit rusty on coloring/painting since almost all I've been doing is drawing in pencil and inking lines. I need to develop a better way of throwing together a simple but interesting background.

All that aside, I'm happy with my unicorn with an extra horn.

Seriously, compare these. The heck?? I mean the digital one isn't finished but I bet I'll add some glowy rim lighting and gradient shadows, as if the gradient blush wasn't enough. And my digital way of making stretch marks and body hair is as clean as the rest of the lines.

Sometimes I do portrait attempts.
The last two are very old.
The first two are old, but a bit more recent.
I should try again.
I make eyes too big and have trouble not relying on lines.
I also struggle with noses.

On the left: I took a reddish hue and put them on parts of Gus' body that I thought would have more presence of blood under the skin, making it feel natural. Darken.

Right: Between the flat skin color and the initial shade layer, I created a layer that contained halftone lines.
