How is no one talking about how Catra twisted her arm to get out of Adora's hold and we can hear the noise!!!!
Adora's expression says it all
catra absolutely thought (hoped) adora was about to kiss her here. eyes on adora's lips
i think its really symbolic how the way they normally style their hair flipped - normally adora's is in a ponytail, and catra's is down. but in adora's ideal future - its flipped. throughout the whole series whenever adora let her hair down, it symbolized her being more free +
anytime she mentions/hears Adora's name either she blushes or her ears twitch or something and im gonna lose my mIND PLEASE
Adding one detail to this because my mind is jumping all over the place, but:
Re: 9/20 above, Catra is straddling Adora; we see her knee on the left. But seconds later she's at Adora's side. Maybe Catra suddenly got shy of straddling Adora in public...
(nah, she doesn't care)
(9/20)
Kyle drops the ration cake; A & C start to get up, but naturally they have already intertwined their fingers...
Adora sees 'Mara' written on the cake right before Catra puts a hand on her shoulder again, and smashes some cake on Adora's cheek.
(4/20)
Catra takes Adora's hands and helps her stand up.
In the hallway Catra puts her arm around Adora's shoulders and pulls her close so their sides are flush. Friendly banter & soft smiles.
Adora takes a step to the side, then bumps Catra with her arm/elbow...
(3/20)
Alarmed, she pushes Catra away by her shoulders and sits up.
Catra has been kneeling partly on top of her (?).
Adora is disoriented so Catra grabs her flailing arms.
They talk and Catra puts her right hand to Adora's shoulder (Adora gives her the softest smile).
Prom afterthoughts, bits & pieces:
(1/8)
- Adora's showy twirl in her dress, and Glimmer's reaction to it
- Sea Hawk on his way to the buffet / kelp bar
- Bow, Perfuma, Netossa, Spinnerella, Sea Hawk, Mermista, Noelle, Molly and an unidentified horned lady socializing...
(17/17)
...And Adora's clever idea & muscle power to save them from the fall.
I wonder if Adora's tears were only because the Horde now had Bow & Glimmer, or also partly because she had been so easily played & slightly seduced by Catra and then literally left hanging.
(15/17)
...And leading to a different kind of dance/chase, starting with Adora lifting Catra by her collar.
What better way to get Adora's attention than a light touch to the cheek with Catra's tail?
Catra is so elegant while leaning on Adora's ice prison (and she knows it)
(9/17)
So close, yet so far... Also, Adora's hand on Catra's shoulder; Catra's hand gently on top.
(2/3) Is Catra looking at Adora's lips?
(3/3) Talking and starting to turn around but still looking at lips?
(7/17)
Adora's dance moves with other partners are different and they are over fast (as per the dance requires?) - Perfuma clearly weights nothing to her...
I wonder who Catra danced with at this time - besides Scorpia - and what their choreography might have been like.
(6/17)
Adora has her left hand on Catra's hip, with Catra's right hand on top of it; Catra has her hand on Adora's hip, with Adora's hand holding it there. They circle each other like this twice until rising their hands with a flourish and separating for new partners.
@owldee @catraclism Maybe that's it. I just have this feeling/thought (not sure what lol) that while it's the same face, Adora's jawline is a bit more delicate & narrow, while She-Ra's face is a liiiittle bit wider in proportion. But again, it may very well just be all in my head! 🙃
(20/26)
From Adora's words in S1E2 we know that the Horde officially aims its attacks on "heavily fortified rebel fortresses", not civilian towns, but in practice they attack all kinds of Rebel settlements including peaceful villages (Thaymor, Elberon, villages in Salineas etc.).
@catrasadoras In this same scene Adora says "You always said you didn't care about things like that." [re: becoming Force Captain]
Catra: "Well I was lying obviously!"
Not only did Catra keep things from Adora, she LIED to her. It was not Adora's fault that she didn't know all what we know.
