I picked this up in the Kodansha sale. I didn't get it before because it seemed too sugar-sweet for me, but Hananoi-kun's pure love is so intense that it's just borderline on the level of a psycho stalker, so I actually loved it. It's less simplistic and more adorable that way.

As I've said in an earlier thread, Corben does not over-render his figures. The intense colour is deceptive. The light areas in his paintings are typically more subdued than one might think. Convert the new cover to greyscale, and subtle modelling of the forms becomes obvious.
