Today was wet.
Very very wet.

Not ideal weather for finding sheep on the moor, or finding that the cattle barn roof is not working as it should!
Floods all over the place, even on the top of the hills!
And Mud....

sketches of a Red Sword Grass Xylena vetusta reared from a caterpillar found on Bodmin Moor last summer, the adult moth hibernates, I am not sure where they do this in the wild but presumably sitting on some dead wood?

These are common depictions of moors in Iberia and North Africa. There are certainly people that seem to have sub saharan African appearances, others that are simply dark skinned and others that are lighter skinned. The term 'moor' refers to a very diverse group.
