I don’t think they’re inherently cutesy nor that cartoony precludes a saccarine aesthetic. Sonic is a very anime brand and coolness was the core. Cool lead the designs of Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and games like Sonic Rush. The OVA and CD OP, too.

I would like to ask the creator who draws the picture. what paint app are you using? I use krita which is free. I am a little disappointed with the brush.
