Another possible candidate is Sam the Sasquatch. He loved fish, and was frozen in ice for years. We don't know exactly when he unfroze, so it's possible this was his temporary home.

There are things about the series that were refinements, Northstar is more "elfin", but also missteps; I never liked Sasquatch swinging from trees (the Beast was already an acrobat).
My fave thing about the series is the introduction of Puck.

Rocky Mountain Monsters. Can represent all states that are in the Rocky Mountains region. Named for the Yeti/Sasquatch/Abominable Snow Monster. Beasts of myth and legend. Monsters is a generic term but it fits nicely.
