Drew all the scales. Blurred them all. Redrew them... Then smudged them. Made some more clear again... To smudge them again... I think I'm going to take a break from all these scales to draw something else on this.

I wondered that too! I'd imagine they stay mushy and weak for a long time... Eating lots until they're big enough to grow scales. Scutes? Too chunky to be scales. :p
