I spent a dumb amount of time coming up with an answer to this. They're not my favourites of each type because if they were then Treecko would be an easy pick as Sceptile is my second fav mon. I just picked 3 I liked roughly equally in their final stages.

My Life Wizard/Dragon OC’s Human Form would be a grass/Dragon type trainer. However his first three teammates would be Sceptile (with possible Mega), Abomisnow (also with possible Mega ), and Appletun (cause Drakely as sweet as pie like Appletun).

I'm curious, what starter Pokémon second stage made you say it looked better than its final? For me it has to be Raboot. Cinderace looked more like a Digimon than a Pokémon. Its colors didn't look right for me. Grovyle comes in 2nd. Don't hate Sceptile, just think its cooler imo.
