It looks a LITTLE better? But even with manually moving the spikes out of the way it still doesn't fix the core issue, that being the intrusiveness of the spikes

The issue is the spikes and where to put the face. You can shorten the spikes on the face side but it just looks awkward from the side

theres a few points on the model you could smooth out and maybe try fixing the top of the head, i get what you were going for with the spike but i think you should keep it smooth up top first before adding the spike because he looks weird imo

I really love how Mario’s ambitious nature is captured here !! He’s an overachiever and feels like every mistake marks his incompetence further 🙏🙏it’s really nice that Spike helps them out and even lets them know about his own mistakes for the sake of making Mario feel better
