Oooh, are showing tonight at 9pm. Based on a true story, it focuses on 4 men who attempt to steal Audubon artwork.

*Checks* ours is still there. Phew.

(Did we mention we have the UK's largest collection of originals?)

...editor, almost "portraits" of the respective species. They are so majestic, and at the same time so precise and detailed, that they almost appear to anticipate Audubon by two and a half centuries.

Does anyone know of any illustrators who are great at and/or can do Audubon style?

I was kind of bored lately until I saw this position....
He's not really doing a funny fist fight position in this art concept

Nearly 200 years ago, John James Audubon illustrated these graceful Canada Jays as they bustled about from branch to branch.

John James Audubon’s Birds of America (1826-1838) is the finest ornithological work ever published. Its 435 hand-coloured plates depict 495 species, 25 of which Audubon discovered himself. Less than 200 sets were completed & still fewer survive today.
