Yeah, Bubsy 3D sucked, but that's because it had nothing to go off of

Nowadays? I'm sure they could make a fun 3D collectathon of sorts out of Bubsy's moveset (gliding, Nerf guns, bombs, etc.)

Balan Wonderworld looks like a spiritual successor to NiGHTS (artistically), Bubsy's last game was the most well-received of the series so far, Mighty Gunvolt Burst is releasing for physical on Switch, and mfing Drawn to Life is coming back

Now if only Sonic could catch up...

Undeniably, Bubsy took a LOT of inspiration from Sonic, but when I mean a lot, I mean down to the physics mechanics (that being momentum/inertia). That's a pretty darn huge amount of dedication and consideration considering how many other Sonic knockoffs just tried to copy speed.
