Man, I'm still thinking about this fantasy series that's been sitting untouched for years now. It's just so damn daunting. I guess first thing would be to get the first book back in print. Then, I was about a hundred pages into draft 2 of book 2, so power on from there.

(3) dividing layers into groups (bg, head, body, hair, etc.) lessens clutter and makes the drawing less daunting

(4) not sketching properly wouldnt make you faster, it'll just make you suffer

Ohh!! Thank you so much for pointing that out! Actually I’ve been working on less detailed designs too because I want to create designs that are more affordable (80-150$ as opposed to $300+). Do these feel simple enough or could anything be adjusted to make them less daunting?

Wacom Cintiq Pro 13" (2019-current)

I received this as a gift this past Christmas and it is STILL daunting to me and hard to get used to. But it can also be used like my Intuos was (tablet only, no screen) so that is a nice feature to fall back on.
