So asked me to take my sketch of Avné and Fringle “dancing” and color it for an episode thumbnail, and so I did! Here’s Fringle and Avné dancing in all their glory!

First, I draw a thumbnail, take a photo of it and send it to my desktop, open it up in CSP and set the canvas size to 8.5”x11” and hone the sketch, print it off, trace it onto my watercolor paper with a lightbox, and then get painting!

From what I've seen, the Metroid 2021 calendar will be PrimeTrilogy focused. Saw this image on Amazon as a thumbnail, but the product page has no images. What I find the most peculiar is the last square uses the SamusReturns box art background with Prime3 renders of Samus+Ridley.

I had to crop the the full Jason Brody cartoon/illustration from the final thumbnail, so that the thumbnail wouldn't look too busy.

With thumbnails, less is more.

Every couple eps I get the strong urge to create a new series thumbnail, even though I know it's bad for brand recognition/etc. It feels like that's how often my style updates... I can't help myself.

man, twitter, one useful feature you can implement is control over where to crop the thumbnail, instead of doing that thing with your buggy layout.
