Yamauba or "Mountain Hag" 山姥 These are Yokai that appear as a monstrous crone. Her hair is long and unkempt and golden white. She wears a filthy, tattered kimono and she has veracious, cannibalistic tendencies.

That actually has a bit of a multi part answer! So first off, Helix is a color shifter. His true colors, his eyes are actually red and blue. (The pink highlights are also red etc.); and also in the light his dad actually has light blue and red eyes, but they glow red and white.

I () like black, red and white. My usual art trends towards the dark/surreal and these colors are very effective for this. I almost worry about being too one-note in this way. Half-Man has been a valuable learning experience for me in this way.
