When tweaking her outfit, I wanted to reduce the number of colors, and push the magical/witch and star theme, while also adding some "coolness" with her boots and gloves.

I'm really satisfied with the results!

Quick and dirty Vander study to try greyscales to colour process. I am not sold. I haven't painted over the tweaked colour layers yet, so it's still very grey, but the endless contrast and tones fiddling make my eyes water. I feel like it's harder to judge what I'm looking at.

I tend to take colours to match the environment behind the character and tweak it depending on character ^^
I usually have the shading mostly in one or two colours

The left one I shaded only with pink for example while the right is red shadow/blue lights
