I feel like for Wakui long necks are just a stylistic choice and I heard that long necks are seen as elegant!
For Coralde's redesign, I just went back and updated an old piece of art I was already proud of. She's now got extra neck fluff, as well as a very mothy cape! A big part of her character is that she's a bug enthusiast, so I wanted to reflect that in her design.
People said Mikey’s neck was too long so I shortened it (sorry if anyone was offended) but for some reason it just doesn't feel right🤔

I really struggled drawing her lips and neck "plates."
I'm not really used to drawing defined lips or makeup ^^; In the end, I ended up trying to make them into a crooked pout. This took me about 7 hours to complete and I still kinda want to make more adjustments.
