The "I was a kid in the early 2000s, and never missed any episodes of these 'chinese crazy cartoons' (as my Dad called them)" starter pack😉😂😆

Started watching Record of Lodoss War, about halfway through now. I'm a sucker for fun character dynamics, good animation, D&D inspired stuff, and pre-2000s anime when everything was hand painted on cels, so I'm really enjoying it.

Also, this dude has intense Gandondorf energy.

Early 2000's bad girl pinup drawing. I guess the 2000s are now considered retro?

Here's the deal at our point of life by decade basis:

80s - School-hopping
90s - Club-hopping
2000s - Job-hopping
2020 - Wedding-hopping

What next? Rumah orang tua hopping izzit?

little known fact: it was illegal to get funding for a cartoon in the 2000s unless you had at least one episode with a jrpg/anime parody where the main character looked like this

Kinu Nishimura is one of my favourite artists ever, and she did a lot of stuff for Capcom in the late 90s - early 2000s. There's this unfinished CvS art that always caught my eye, and I decided to take a shot at colouring it.

It was really cool how at one point, Mario and Sonic both had that one extremely early 2000s as fuck sports spinoff series that had unique designs for the cast and a 2D art style that never saw the light of day again.

Which style do you prefer?

Here's some more. Now you may recognise a few of my OCs, namely Junior & Jony Starking, who had dumb names back the and were originally conceived as the nephews of Mario & Luigi, when I was in middle school in the late 2000s. Makes me feel old...
