The thing is, he loses concentration on his physical form, so things get abstract. The form changes erratically, without pattern or consistency, often just random concepts being broken.
It's tough to befriend him because of this, but it's certainly worth it for his good side.

One of my favorite design aspects of the Mach 5 is its hubcap design.

The six-holed design matches the button setup on the steering wheel.

That design consistency was lost in the '90s, when the US promotional artwork decided to alter the hubcaps to have five holes instead.
