I think when Stearns got "the Leader" removed from him, it infected Hulk, or more specifically, Banner. I think the Banner who's controlling Hulk like a mech in Hulk is actually the Leader in Banner

Here's an obscure one. I once saw it, but I literally can't remember anything from. It's one of those 2010s forgettable mech shows, but who knows, you might enjoy it more than I did. The mechs are even designed by Kawamori.
