I was disappointed that didn't have any artwork showing Sonic's toeless feet flaps, but I realise now that these are the modern designs.

So, the possibility exists that the classic versions have toes, but lost them when they evolved into their lanky modern forms.

This was honestly really disappointing to me. The artwork, while still stellar, has clearly lost a lot of the personal touches Miura brought to it, and the general storytelling feels like it's trying to rush towards some kind of conclusion.
