Like I've said in the past,
I don't like the artstyle direction the #Pokemon games are taking.
It just feels like no-outline 3D + gradient shading sucks a lot of charm out of every Pokémon/character design.

I wish some day we get a Pokemon game that tries to match the artworks💛

Speaking of brushwork -- WHEW! I think my biggest improvement was definitely in technique.
Directional strokes, working with opacity, layering and mixing colors, soft vs hard edges, the impact of the correct undercolor... I'm excited to implement these in some original artwork!

"Flock of Thoughts" is basically what would happen to all of my paintings if I let them. When I paint, my mind is free to fly in any and every direction. 😅

This is a style I had been wanting to try since the early 2000s when I sold a comedy/action show to Warner Brothers with this art direction...
