Avanna has such a lovely tone to her voice. I don't know if this is just a bias created by her design or accent but I do find she works nicely with folk music and fantasy themes. I've been thinking of using her again for something I had in mind... We'll see. 👀

I often make a very conscious decision to embrace my accent and read non-human characters in a "black-coded" way, because they could theoretically sound like anything. Fantastical worlds can offer limitless room to explore vocal diversity. 2/3

@jdubtheone Also one thing I love about the Megadrive comics is Knuckles stupidity is more of an accent and less of his entire personality. The writers also dont forget that Knuckles can be taken seriously at times.

I have to admit it, I don't get how to write Velvet's accent. Maybe because I'm not a native English speaker.

also, i was going to use diff colours for flashbacks by doing overlays like this or putting accent colours (e.g. red hair/eyes on toi) but it didn't look great and i stuck to B&W, relying on stark value differences for clarity. i'm glad that it seems to have worked well enough!
