Backgrounds were never my strong point so I put effort into focusing on color/texture as that’s great for expressing tones (like in 臥虎藏龍). Having a cultural base also works wonders for storytelling. Anything to cover up the obvious hardliners and lack of perspective from me😅

It's actualy incredible how there are almost zero lewd Illustrations in the mushoku tensei light novel. Like the kirishika illustration is probably the lewdest I can remember. 90% are focused on awesome, sad or wholesome moments. It's a big contrast to the way many see the series
