15) I like to draw her with black hair as a kid/teen/young adult and a fading B&W gradient after she got the Anchor, as if it took some part of her energy. At the end of Trespasser, her hair is fully white.
She also got June inspired tattoos over her body, not just Vallaslin~
experimenting with marching squares some more. my feeling so far is that they are very promising. tile count is super low, and the mental load is much lower than with other gradient types like wang tiles.
arches.
i got the modular gradients down to 5 tiles, plus a few weird special cases. you could definitely go smoother if you added more special cases, also if you went organic and abandoned the snapped gradients, but i think this is a nice economical look.
@nezu_mari Drew this myself but I need to upgrade it. Twas a long time ago I drew this. Everything is the same, just ya know want to upgrade it from just being words in a circle gradient lol.
@maluanezes Primeiramente... que lineart LINDA (fiquei totalmente apaixonada e tive de participar).
Foi bem divertido colorir ela(já q colorir é a minha parte favorita de desenhar), e até fiz alguns experimentos com gradient maps
if you have a pretty decent eye for color already but struggle to actually pick harmonious colors, or if you feel that your shading looks too bland, gradient maps are a cheat code/shortcut to correcting your colors. here's some tricks i like to use with gradient maps :)
@prinkidoodles ALSO
-first one thought me that textured brushes in the background add quality to your art!
-BBBU made me learn that artificial fog can be made by gradients :))
-Susan date thought me how to create sparkles and lens blur
-The last sketch forced me to create a new sketch style :0
@prinkidoodles In order
-this one thought me that transparent brushes exist
-Moon Grasp thought me that masking and gradients are super useful!
-The shark thought me a much harder, advanced, and much better process of shading
-The last one thought me that gaussian blur and bloom existed
Gradient map test (´∀`=)
I like this method very much esp since I am terrible at making aesthetic color schemes

I went and made some touc-ups to this by adding in shading. The way this artstyle handles shading is a bit interesting, although I do wonder how much of it is just a gradient. Aslo touched up the right arm as I wasn't as keen on the original. Regular and transparent below!
