Also you clearly didn't watch the other films directed by Isao Takahata and other members of the studio that ALL have different styles. So either actually watch all of Studio Ghibli's filmography or make a better arguement.

I was binge watching old series such as batman and superman and wanted to capulate on their styles. So I decided to stylize Sir Pumpkin since I had not drawn him in a long while.
I also want to tame down my drawings a bit to fit a more general audience.
