I love colorful butterflies, but recently I started to appreciate those that I used to dismiss as "just a brown butterfly" like this Pansy/Junonia. The more I meet them, the more I notice their strange wing shapes, the dots, and the stripes.

This was the finished doodle btw. This piece was an exercise in speed/letting go. I have a tendency to hyper focus on details before the composition is there; so I forced myself to just have fun, slap down shapes, colors and texture and just let go.

@AngriestPat They do a good job actually trying to emulate the 2D style in terms of color, size, landscapes, limited shading etc into 3D and from a concept art point, these two screenshots look great.
It's just not as fun to move through these environments as it is to look at them.
