So I assimilate some old urban legend stories and some other familiar stories that have so much impact for me as a kid/teenage back in the days and developed my own adaptations, new characters with extraordinary powers.

Listen.
Tomorrow I’ll be at work in the morning
It’s gonna suck.
So pick a character of mine and I’ll draw them with one you drop.
It doesn’t have to be any of these four I just picked at random.

“Black Panther” was an afterthought until 1973, when Billy Graham—the first black art director in comics—helped launch the character into stardom.

Fuck, I'm all done w/ my reread of Kingdom. I can't be arsed to write a review after livetweeting so extensively (at least for my standards), but I'm really happy that it still holds up as one of my absolute favorites. This new arc is very promising too. Top 10 arcs/chars below.

The twelfth major Arcana, The Hanged Man, represents self-sacrifice and martyrdom.

Hm. I think it's more a matter of anatomy and what parts of the body you want to grab attention to. Heck, it could be drawn anywhere for that instance. When I draw fur or hair, I just do it by random. Gives the character a sense of attractive imperfection.

Finished my reread of Western Zhao Invasion and what a doozy. Not a perfect arc by any means, but still some of the highest & most cathartic peaks in all of It lands the ending beautifully too. Really it's just some stretches of chapters that we could've done without 🤭

In Norse myth, after the hero Sigurd slays the dragon Fafnir, he cooks the heart for his foster father, Regin. But he tastes Fafnir's blood & learns the language of birds, who warn of Regin's betrayal. He kills Regin & eats the heart, which grants him wisdom.
