The only thing could think of is for them to add some texture to convey the braids better (but even that proved to be tedious for me to draw.) Nubia from the gross sisters had cornrows, they were simplified but they looked OK to me🤷‍♀️. But you right, I don't disagree.

Hair looks like actual hair instead of razors. Too bad they simplified his hairstyle for the final episode, looks like a starfish. It's not ideal but atleast they didin't steal his hot ass cheekbones and slapped the ugly flat 7 cheeklines on his face 😎
