The berberoka of Philippine mythology are water creatures who enjoy eating humans. They lure humans by draining a river or pond so that the fish lie on the dry bed, and then release the water when humans go to pick the fish up.

Fun Fact: The OG Calria was my mage I made back during Wrath of the Lich King. She saved a goldfish from the Dalaran Pond and named it Francis, who lived in her water elemental Bobo. I then shelfed her after Cataclysm.
