Takeru/TK also have basically no character flaws or arcs in the reboot in comparison to tri which consistently had different characters growing and changing over the course of all six movies (or all 26 episodes if you're watching it on a streaming service like crunchyroll (cont)
as well as Meiko did since after the string of perfect/ultimate evolutions early in the adventure reboot there is basically little to no character growth in that season after said episodes made even worse by the fact that other characters like Sora, Hikari/Kari and (cont)
character growth or flaws justify said screentime. But I'll give credit where it's due, he does contribute to the development of other characters in the same season like Yamato/Matt and also arguably Koushiro/Izzy's growth early in the adventure reboot although not nearly (cont)
these describe Meiko but they perfectly describe reboot Taichi/Tai. Think about it, he's given so much plot armour to the point his (alongside the rest of the reboot cast) to the point of destroying all tension and has basically zero character growth and flaws (cont)
You know what? I'm gonna say it anyway. It is far more justified to criticise the adventure reboot for giving Taichi/Tai far too much screentime and call him a gary stu than it is to tri for giving Meiko "too much screentime" and call her a "mary sue". This will be a (cont)
