So the largest dinosaur discovered is about 1/3 the length of a football field (120 ft) and would weight about as much as 20 elephants (roughly 80 tons).

Smaug (in the movie) is over three and a half times that length (426 ft).

My 6yo + I got to the Lonely Mountain, saw Bilbo discovering the keyhole to the secret door (guided by the thrush) + enter the mountain to encounter Smaug + his bright hoard! He was enchanted + didn’t want me to stop reading! 🐉
