I realize I was really more pulled by Canadian-French adaptations of Belgian comic series I read than everything else 😂
(I only had 2-3 episodes of Lucky Luke on a VHS. Did that stop me from watching them over and over? Nope!) https://t.co/6joLi1HFcR
I love that Kaginado is referencing the Toei adaptations, even if it's just small things like outfits for a shot
Here's some more Toei Key art because why not
Works that Nelvana tried to make animated adaptations of but ultimately never did.
Join us tonight at 8:30pm EST for a magical time as we check out some of the video game adaptations of Magical Girl shows from classic to newer works! (According to this game Lina Inverse is a magical girl so who are we to argue)

@A_B_Morgan There's always the classic:
The Adventures of Pinocchio, by Carlo Collodi, tr. by @john_hooper & @annakraczyna.
A wooden puppet coming to life gets a new translation ahead of two movie adaptations.
This book for ages 8-12 is the most translated #ItalianLit.

it is kind of uncanny just how precisely so many of these MCU adaptations excise my favorite parts of characters
they cut out the bits that made Moon Knight most resemble dirtbag Batman, but ...
... I love my dirtbag Batman. Like if Batman were just the absolute fucking worst.
Il n'y a pas que les adaptations de manga à l'ère Shôwa, il y a eu les World Masterpiece Theater, ou encore les Magical Girls du studio Pierrot.
Et bien sûr l'âge d'or du Super Robot. #昭和の日
SWEET VALLEY TWINS Graphic Novel Adaptations To Be Published by Random House Graphics! https://t.co/Hf1JQl9DhC
though Wiccan will always be my favorite Marvel hero
Vision is up there
I love his power set and most of his adaptations are really cool
I also love the trope of 'evil robot turns against their programming to be good' https://t.co/A8iLC7diV8
i used to really not like this style, key's early works (well mostly i saw it from kyoani's adaptations even though they're beautifully animated)
but now i like it. the huge eyes almost parallel with the nose and the mouth so high up on the face.. it's interesting. nostalgic
We all know 99% of books are better than their movie counterparts. But are there any book to movie adaptations that you DID like? My two favorites are The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption.
It's good that this year William Shakespeare's birthday ties in with #SaturdayShakespeare, he was #BOTD 1564. Obviously his plays & poetry are world-renown but I'd like to celebrate their movie adaptations.

Bone was actually one of the comic series I enjoyed reading when I was in Canada.
Hearing this actually felt my heart drop and it made me now determined to create my own studio where other creators can pitch in their movie or adaptations into video games or tv series. https://t.co/GJGHOWPl6M
Out of all the animated adaptations of Moomintroll, this Russian one is by far my least favorite
Why does Snufkin look like that 😭
