I always thought the big intakes on the side were for the engine itself. But I saw a cut-away recently and saw that the engine intakes and filters are actually in the crew compartment
The side intakes are for radiator cooling
It was a sad chapter to write, but for those who remember volume 5 ball in the castle 125 years in the future, things will gradually get better. Mimi's story is still being written, but I have to release it before reaching volume 9, or at least release it simultaneously with it.
