Sometimes I remember simpler times, when the X-Men weren't at war with the Inhumans, the shadowbanning of Marvel/Disney and even when I like this new Hickman era, I miss some good days when the X-Men were superheroes and not the natural rival of humanity.

I've caught up with the X-books, and I'm pleasantly surprised to find that they are TOTALLY AWESOME, except for X-Men itself.

The whole line is singing in a way it hasn't in a LONG while. If I've got to read a Hickman issue a month to make sense of it, fine.

X is back. y'all.

The point is that Claremont and crew had a freedom of expression granted to them that no X-Men writer has had since then – not even innovators like Morrison or Hickman. C’s genius is his own, but his circumstances were ideal in empowering him to make use of it successfully. 5/6

Just read Giant Size X-Men: Fantomas by Hickman and Reis and while it was a good looking book it just didn't work for me. I haven't been following the X-world since the relaunch (event fatigue) and it felt like I was missing a lot of the story for a one-shot. Maybe it's just me.
