The best thing about this painting is that the white pigment, 'gofun', is made from powdered oyster shell.

This goshawk is poetry in motion - a rhapsody of visuals. The goshawk isn't native to the Ozarks where I live, but prefers the higher mountains of Big Sur. They also live in many European countries. Painted in foraged Ozark pigments. Just dropped.

My work is not colourful and neither it’s entirely black and white; I use warm and cool tones of grey along with pigment pens for lines, dots and shapes. I sketch on paper as well as use procreate to develop these.

Freedom, is a watercolor portrait of a girl enjoying the freedom she feels after leaving her problems behind.
