He was born in Suffolk to a family who owned Flatford Mill. After school he took over the family business before enrolling in the RA schools. He was influenced by Ruisdael & Gainsborough. Church in Trees (c1800), Trentham Park (c1801) & Landscape, 1808

Suffolk Owl Sanctuary ใน UK ช่วยเหลือนกฮูกตัวนึงเพราะคิดว่าน้องบาดเจ็บ แต่พอตรวจแล้วพบว่าจริงๆ น้องแค่อ้วนจนบินไม่ไหว น้องหนัก 245 กรัม หนักกว่านกฮูกทั่วไปราว 30% คาดว่าอยู่ในพื้นที่ที่มีอาหารเยอะและหาเหยื่อเก่งเกินไป ทางศูนย์จึงจับน้องคุมอาหาร 2 สัปดาห์ก่อนจะปล่อยกลับสู่ธรรมชาติ

Initially he painted landscapes before, as his reputation grew, he turned to genre by 1808. His first works were shown at the 1804 RA exhibition. Suffolk Landscape (c1810), John Varley (1814) & Horses (1816). Varley was his brother-in-law.

Harry Becker, Landscape with Horses Ploughing. Painted in Wenhaston, Suffolk around 1910, again at Christchurch Mansion. Some of Becker's work is reminiscent of van Gogh and who attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp a year before Becker

Harry Becker,'A Man Named Samson' was a horseman in Wenhaston, Suffolk. A veteran of WW1, one day in November 1919 he walked & drilled a 25-acre winter barley field. Becker was eager to record the final days of an ancient rural, farming system and a countryside he deeply loved.
