Fiddling with more 3D functions on Illustrator. It works better on isometric shapes. Flat shapes can also be done but it requires different thinking process.

@MoonieLoonie_ Thanks. I had a references laid under the sculpt and I just followed the rough shapes. Made extracts or raised areas of the shapes like the mouth where I’d want to put thinned black paint into. It could be smoother though.

The landscapes progressively got more stylized, and I was taking a lot of inspiration from Lip Comarella. Really trying to utilize noise and getting things down to the most basic essence of their shapes.
Still bridging the gap between this and my typical work.
To be quite honest, the composition on this piece could've used more work. The negative space in this area of the sketch is uneven; it was never fully rectified and still stands out to me in the final version. It should be more proportionate to the other negative space shapes.

Tried using @Suvidriel's Meowface to get ARKit like blend shapes. I need to fix the shapes since they seem "hard" when I imported the fbx. Not sure why it's choppy either though.
