En 1909 paleontólogos encontraron ave en estado de suspensión de aprox 300 mill de años. Lo exhibieron en el Smithsonian pero se dieron cuenta que era único y lo desaparecieron. Era el Thunderbird, un ave que había salido de un portal y que venía de otra dimensión.

Alma Thomas died in her Washington home in 1978, aged 86. Falling Leaves Love Wind Orchestra (1977), Untitled (1978) & Hydrangeas Spring Song (1976). She is one of the great American artists of the 20th C. The Smithsonian has a good group of her works.
