They did go to all the trouble of making multi-colour C64 sprites for the unarmed section. So I'm wondering if they made a judgement call for the pole and sword and decided those objects looked better at steep vertical angles in high res. 🤷‍♂️ Or maybe they just ran out of time. 😋

F15 Strike Eagle II was a good sequel. Utilised the capabilities of the 16/32 bit machines well. Though I thought they could have modelled the physics of the plane a bit better, like starting to drop the nose if you're in a steep bank.
