Morning all, from an atmospheric misty dawn in the Perth Hills. The muffled call of a Grey Shrike-thrush emanates from the grey tree tops and water steadily drips from branches.

Our 2019 ringing totals are now in - 8123 birds (108 sp) were ringed here last year inc. 2400 warblers, 1700 waterfowl, 1400 finches/sparrows/buntings & 500 thrushes. Great effort by our team collecting valuable data on movements, populations, trends & productivity @YorkBirding
Drew my first two apprenticed Littlecloud bot kits. Since they don't do anything else right now, I drew them fully grown and gave them warrior names: Midgeflight and Thrushfeather!
Northern Thailand yielded some superb thrush action today. Pictured are Dusky, Black-breasted, Chestnut and Eyebrowed.
These photos of Varied Thrush was taken from yesterday at Prospect Park during dusk. The light was almost gone but I was lucky to be able to get some decent photos. Enjoy!
ThrushPelt and FeatherWhisker is a valid rarepair, they are also my soft sons

#ZSLLibrary is open today but will be closed tomorrow Wednesday 18 December. We are open again as usual on Thursday. As a black-throated thrush has been spotted @ZSLWhipsnadeZoo we thought you may like to see a lithograph of a couple from Gould's 'Birds of Great Britain', 1873.
