Experimental portrait painted on a postcard. I inked the portrait w/ink. Completely covered the surface w/ wood varnish. Once dry I rolled on black and unbleached titanium acrylic paint w/ a brayer. Once tacky, I used a palette knife to scrape off most!

This drawing is ballpoint pen on watercolor paper. I washed on some unbleached titanium acrylic on top, then some wood varnish on top of that, and then some white acrylic on top of the varnish layer!

It worked! Just a lil’ touch up here and there, and solid! Then.. 3 days to varnish and cut/sand/stain the wood backing/frame I’m building for it. This one has taken way longer than expected because I’ve tried so many new techniques, but I love pushing boundaries. So excite!
