39 is not old, but for the story that James Gunn is writing, his Superman is younger than the one played by Henry, who was born to play Superman, and so the role is going to be recast for the new DCU. I just can't wait to see how this all plays out.

No way will David Zaslav greenlight de-aging for a bunch of DCU films for one actor when he did everything in his power to bring down Warner Bros debt. Especially when James Gunn can just as easily hire an actor who is in his 20's to play the cub reporter at the Daily Planet.
