Banshee Moira is done, had fun with the lighting on this one and slowly I'm getting back into art. Still not too happy about the lack of depth, but eeeh. I'm rusty as hell.

I think of myself/Aethan as a kouign-amman. Looks unassuming, isn't flashy, and you might never look twice...but a taste reveals depth, complexity, and richness.

I got some criticism the other day saying that when shading, I should empathize darker areas to add more depth, that's what I tried to do.

This fan art features an incredible sense of depth, from the moss-covered logs in the foreground to the vined branches fading into the forest.

Read the latest in our tutorial series by Japanese illustrator kamakilimai! In part six, she adds some finishing touches. As well as some extra details to add depth, she adds a tonal correction layer to adjust the overall color and finish the piece.

Some of my early process work for the challenge piece, did my prelim sketching in Photoshop so I could move/resize and make use of layers to really create depth, then printed to do a tight sketch in pencil and brush pen line.

Transistor is a love letter to gamers. A cyber-punk noir story where the power of voice forces you into an introspection of emotion. It makes you cry and smile simultaneously with its beautiful artwork and musical depth, ethereal vocals filled with sorrow and hope.

There was a random piece of fanart I did this year that sort of made a few different things I've been trying to do click together for me and left me feeling much more comfortable with form and depth, which ended up giving me a useful toolset to try things I'm normally afraid of.

Well, that’s the base colours sorted, and at lunch I’ll start added a additional colour depth, Bo Low’s makeup & some shading...
