My last piece for #SpringAwakeningMonth 🌼🌸
I combined the 2 prompts: sound and garden. A meadow with grasing cows is not really a garden, but close enough. And the sound of Gertrud reading poetry and the insects buzzing, and the wind in the leaves is just nice!
I like to think about how Gertrude is actually just Eva's receipt.

Gertrude fighting Angron. A fun idea that got way outta hand quick.
Pen and ink, markers, then acrylics mixed with poster paint on top of that, then plain acrylics over all of it. Then some ink lines re-applied over the top.
This striking illustration by @biancastone from Gertrude Stein’s A Little Called Pauline feels like the perfect image to post on #internationalwomensday. Celebrate the glorious women in your life, today and every day!
#InternationalWomansDay One of the highlights of 2020 was the chance to see examples of Gertrude Hermes' artworks "in real life". Seeing her wood engravings close up is very rewarding!

My period OCs Gertrud and Hubertine enjoying a spring rain on the countryside.
It's the first time I show them here.
