My current idea is to have puffs on both sides, and just have them appear/disappear when the head turns far enough? And there's a separate strand in the middle that will stay in place, so hopefully the larger bang shift doesn't look too jarring??

The last game we tried was Linked Mask which is a terrain navigation platformer w/MEGA-sized stages. It has some unique ideas, that feel a little jarring at first like the ROCKET POWERD slopes, but great checkpoint placement let you experiment & feel out each puzzle. Pretty good!
