continuing on the render tests, this second is a more "watercolory" one. i wanted to give a more traditional look and avoid using things such as adaptative layers.

To finish out the piece, I add in the jewelry and tattoos. Highlights and rim lights are added throughout the piece with a hard bush, and I finalize the special effects and lighting with some adjustment layers.

DnD is fun because I can do this to my players.

@roundhoundart I like to play with line weight to imply subtle but bold shading. It helps accentuate highlights more and give a deeper feel to basic cell shading without having to do a billion layers... also gives it kindof a graphic feel to the piece and I love that :3
