for the metallic parts i just painted vertical stripes of black, white and blue, uv mapped the meshes and the material scrolls the texture only on the x axis alongside the view vector, it's not a bad alternative to non spherical surfaces that need a matcap-y look

4. Definitely Acai Rose. There's a lot of little things that come together well to make both a cute but rough around the edges young girl struggling with rebellion. Really, I think it's the shoulder cloth that meshes it all together. The rose is a tattoo by the way.

i only use that method for high res meshes, i often rebuild extracted game meshes for low resolution patterns for pepakura, in which i prefer to clean up with quads
I use crease tool to think about the pattern seamlines before exporting it
